Brand's Laira - Blockers Cabernet Merlot
This range was created as a tribute to our<br>founder Eric Brand, one of the original<br>‘Blockers’. This was the name given to the<br>original Coonawarra land holders who sold<br>their grapes to larger wineries in the<br>mid-1900's. Made in true Coonawarra style<br>our Cabernet Merlot displays blue and dark<br>berry fruits; It is full and rounded on<br>the palate, and has a smooth and refined<br>tannin structure. Barrel fermentation and<br>maturation has provided integrated spicy<br>and nutty French Oak characters to<br>complement the pure varietal fruits.<br>This wine is perfect for drinking now but<br>with careful cellaring will continue to age<br>beautifully over the next 10 years .
