In partnership with Webber Grill Academy, Gibson Wines have created Smokey Oak Barossa Shiraz, the ultimate pairing of Barossa Shiraz with Australian grilled food. Our coopers fired the timber to create medium-toast oak barrels to ensure this parcel of Northern Barossa Shiraz gently imparts a smokey spice complexity after barrel maturation. Smokey oak delivers that classic Gibson style plush and generous flavour. A sure fire for any at home barbecue occasion. Colour is Deep crimson with a hint of Violet. Aroma is Black and Red berry fruit supported by underlying smokey French and American oak, baking spice and vanilla bean. Palate is Dark, concentrated Black and Blue fruit, spice, layers of smokey oak, finishing with long and persistent savoury tannin.
