From a stunning Barossa red wine vintage of low yields and exceptional quality – one of the greats that produced classic Greenock Creek styled wines of robust flavour and firm structure. The ‘Four Cuttings’ Cabernet is an extension of our winemaking approach, aiming to capture the particular character of special single vineyard sites. A painstaking exploration of small vineyards across Barossa for sites that best display varietal characters akin to those of our legendary estate wines uncovered The Heidenreich vineyard at Light Pass, planted in the late 1930’s. The vineyard produces consistently excellent Cabernet Sauvignon with layers of black fruit, leafy overtones and tobacco notes. As is the Greenock Creek tradition, this wine will reward patience and cellaring, while being deliciously approachable as a young wine.
