The Castine Family vineyard is located at the warmer southern end of Watervale - a sub region of the Clare Valley. The resulting Shiraz is a little riper and richer then some of the cooler areas of Clare. Picked ripe and full of flavour then matured for 15 months in 1 -2 year old French oak. Ripe rich plummy and bitter dark chocolate flavours wrapped in firm tannins. This vintage should be a good one to put away for up to 6-8 years. Amazing value and sure to be snapped up quickly.
